Sadio Mane 'would cost Manchester United double next year'

Southampton warn Manchester United that Sadio Mane could cost double the £20m they offered in the summer, according to reports.

Southampton winger Sadio Mane would now reportedly cost Manchester United at least double the £20m they offered for his services in the summer.

The Senegalese international has continued to impress this season and it is suggested that Ronald Koeman's side no longer need to sell with the new TV money coming, with the club keen to sign Mane to a new contract.

According to The Telegraph, the Saints believe that Mane is playing at a similar level to United's summer signing Anthony Martial and value him between £35m-£40m.

It was suggested during a recent fan forum that they should not sell Mane for less than £50m and executive director Les Reed replied "Only £50m?"

Mane has scored five goals and created five assists in 13 appearances in all competitions this season.
