Serie A giants Napoli are reportedly interested in signing Southampton defenders Jan Bednarek and Mohammed Salisu.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has seemingly settled on a first-choice centre-back pairing of Bednarek and Salisu, who have both started over 20 Premier League games this season.
The latter, in particular, has shined in his second season with the Saints, and he is currently ranked among the top 10 in the English top flight for tackles, clearances, interceptions and aerial duel won.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli have identified a number of defensive target ahead of this summer's transfer window, with both Bednarek, 26, and Salisu, 22, on their shortlist.
The report adds that the Italian outfit are unlikely to exercise the option to make Axel Tuanzebe's loan deal from Manchester United permanent in the summer.
Poland international Bednarek, who has been with Southampton since July 2017, is under contract at St Mary's until June 2025, while Ghanaian Salisu will see his deal expire a year earlier.
