Newcastle United want Wilfried Zaha

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has asked to take Manchester United youngster Wilfried Zaha on loan, according to reports.

Newcastle United are reportedly leading a quartet of Premier League clubs aiming to sign Manchester United forward Wilfried Zaha, with the England international still struggling for first-team football at Old Trafford.

Zaha has made just three appearances for United since completing a £15m summer switch from Crystal Palace, with Moyes reluctant to use the young starlet early in the campaign.

That lack of action has led Newcastle boss Alan Pardew to ask David Moyes about the possibility of a loan move in January, according to The Mirror.

Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion are also thought to be keen on a short-term switch, while Everton boss Roberto Martinez would like to sign Zaha on a permanent basis.

Moyes reportedly has no interest in selling Zaha and will review his situation in January, after already rejecting a loan enquiry from Bolton Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman, who worked with the 20-year-old at Selhurst Park.
