Manchester United assistant manager Steve Round has revealed that he was "pleased" to have seen Wilfried Zaha turn out for the club last night.
The winger had not featured in a competitive fixture for United so far this season, but he was included in the starting lineup by manager David Moyes for the 4-0 victory over Norwich City.
He was replaced by Wayne Rooney with 12 minutes left to play, but Round has insisted that the 20-year-old would have benefited from the experience.
"I was really pleased for Wilf to get a start and play so well. He got a bit tired at the end so we replaced him. But this will have done his confidence the world of good and he's gone out there and experienced what it's like to win at Old Trafford," he told the club's official website.
Zaha joined the English champions in January for a reported £12m fee.
