Paris Saint-Germain reportedly prepare a rival bid for Manchester United target Leonardo Bonucci.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly readying a rival bid for Manchester United target Leonardo Bonucci.

PSG will attempt to lure the AC Milan defender to France with the promise of a lucrative salary and the chance to reunite with former Juventus teammate Gianluigi Buffon, according to Le Parisien.

Bonucci was a marquee signing for Milan last summer, but the Rossoneri's financial crisis has reportedly forced them to listen to offers for him.

United are said to view the Italian as a potential replacement for Chris Smalling, who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Bonucci made 48 appearances during his first campaign at San Siro.
