Report: Robin van Persie happy to stay at Arsenal

Robin van Persie is reportedly willing to remain with Arsenal this summer after being impressed by the club's ambition in the transfer market.

Arsenal forward Robin van Persie has reportedly had a change of heart over his future at the club.

The 28-year-old, whose current contract expires in June 2013, said last month that he would not be signing a new deal at the Emirates Stadium because of the club's lack of ambition.

Van Persie's comments sparked speculation that he would be sold this summer, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus all confirming their interest in the player.

Arsenal have since strengthened their squad with the additions of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud. The arrival of Spain international Santi Cazorla is also said to be imminent.

According to The Mirror, these deals have impressed van Persie and the Dutchman is now prepared to remain with the Gunners until January, when he will reassess his options.

Van Persie is expected to meet up with the rest of the Arsenal squad at their pre-season training camp in Germany next week.
