Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to step up their pursuit of Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze, who expects the Eagles to honour a gentleman's agreement to allow him to depart.
Eze was named in England's provisional Euro 2024 squad after impressing Gareth Southgate with his performances during the Premier League season.
The attacker scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 27 top-flight appearances to help his side achieve a top-half finish.
Eze particularly excelled under the tutelage of Oliver Glasner, who replaced Roy Hodgson in the Palace dugout in February.
The former Eintracht Frankfurt boss will be keen to retain Eze's services as he prepares for his first full season as a Premier League manager.

Spurs set to hold Eze talks
However, Palace may have their work cut out amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including fellow London side Tottenham.
According to FootballTransfers, Tottenham are preparing to step up their pursuit by holding discussions with Palace over a potential deal for Eze.
Spurs are expected to begin talks in the next two weeks, having already held preliminary talks with the player's representatives.
From Eze's perspective, he is believed to be open to the move and is expecting Palace to honour their side of a gentleman's agreement.
The Eagles have seemingly agreed that they will allow Eze to leave as long as one of his potential suitors meets the club's £60m asking price.
Tottenham are keen to move quickly to sign Eze amid competition from Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.
However, Eze's involvement in England's Euro 2024 preliminary squad has tempered Spurs' hopes of striking a swift deal.

Spurs preparing for Postecoglou's second season
Tottenham strengthened their attacking options last summer, recruiting the likes of James Maddison and Brennan Johnson.
However, they are keen to bring in more reinforcements as they look to build upon the foundation set in Postecoglou's first season in charge.
The Australian saw periods of promise from his side, but several poor results in the latter stages of the season highlighted the need for further improvements.
After qualifying for the Europa League, Tottenham can offer Eze the chance to play European football for the first time in his career.
With the playmaker set to turn 26 later this month, he may view this as the opportune moment to take the next step on that road.
