Manchester United-linked striker Hugo Ekitike is reportedly set to leave Eintracht Frankfurt during this summer's transfer window.

Hugo Ekitike is reportedly set to leave Eintracht Frankfurt during this summer's transfer window, with Manchester United among the clubs believed to be interested in his services.

The 22-year-old has been in excellent form for Frankfurt during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 19 times and registering eight assists in 38 appearances, including 13 goals and four assists in 25 Bundesliga matches.

Ekitike caught the eye for France Under-21s against England Under-21s on Friday night, meanwhile, scoring a brilliant hat trick in a 5-3 success for his side against Lee Carsley's team.

There is currently a host of speculation surrounding the striker's future, with Man United believed to have placed him on their transfer shortlist, while Arsenal and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ekitike is expected to be on the move this summer, and Premier League clubs have already been in contact to discuss a switch at the end of the campaign.

Man United-linked Ekitike 'set to leave Frankfurt'

Transfermarkt have given the forward a valuation of £34m, but it is incredibly difficult to imagine him being available for that price, with a recent report claiming that it would take at least £60m for Frankfurt to consider letting him leave.

The striker scored 11 times in 26 appearances for Reims during the 2021-22 campaign before making the move to Paris Saint-Germain, but he only managed four goals and four assists in 33 matches during his time with the French giants.

Ekitike spent the second half of last season on loan at Frankfurt, scoring four times in 16 appearances, before joining the Bundesliga club on a permanent basis during last summer's transfer window.

In total, he has represented the Eagles on 54 occasions, scoring 23 goals and registering 10 assists, including three goals and three assists in 10 Europa League matches during the 2024-25 campaign.

Which other strikers are on Man United's radar?

Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres continues to be heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, with the Sweden international also expected to be on the move during this summer's transfer window.

Victor Osimhen is also a target, with the Nigeria international in excellent form for Galatasaray this season.

The 26-year-old is set to leave parent club Napoli during this summer's transfer window, and he is believed to be firmly on Man United's radar, with the forward potentially available for £62m due to a release clause.
