Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has reportedly said that Arsenal's unsettled striker needs to head to Manchester to win trophies.
Van Persie recently announced he was not renewing his contract at the London club, and Yorke believes that either Manchester club will suit.
"We know what a good player he is and what a season he has had and when you do that you want to win trophies," Soccerway quotes Yorke as saying.
"The city of Manchester is the place to be if you want to win something. I think it's more of a personal choice, it comes down to money but he won't go wrong to going to either of the Manchester sides."
United emerged this week as the favourites to sign the Dutchman.
