Andoni Zubizarreta: 'No breakthrough in Dani Alves talks'

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta admits that contract talks with Dani Alves have stalled.

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has revealed that the Catalan outfit are yet to make a breakthrough in their contract talks with Dani Alves.

The Brazilian international's current deal expires at the end of this season and the right-back has been linked with a move away from Spain in January.

Zubizarreta has said that Barca are in talks with the player, but no agreement has been reached.

"We've done nothing in that respect," he told AS.

"We're talking about the contract with him. We'll see what the road is we'll take. It's also influenced by the decision of Fifa [the transfer ban].

"The best thing is that we come to see an incisive Dani, that's important."

Alves has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United.
