Joey Barton reveals that he 'misses' the Premier League but wants to remain at Marseille as opposed to returning to parent club Queens Park Rangers.

Marseille midfielder Joey Barton has revealed that he 'misses' the Premier League but as of yet has no intentions of playing for Queens Park Rangers again.

The 30-year-old, who is on loan at the Ligue 1 club from the West London outfit until the end of the season, has previously mentioned that he would like to extend his stay in France.

"I cannot see me playing again at QPR," Sky Sports News quotes Barton as saying. "Marseille had faith in me when no-one had faith anymore, so I want to pay them back for that. At the right moment we will talk. But I miss the Premier League."

Meanwhile, Barton has claimed that David Beckham, who is due to make his Paris Saint-Germain debut this weekend, is past his best.
