Preview: Millwall vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between out-of-form Millwall and Wolves as Kenny Jackett returns to The Den.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on Millwall at The Den on Saturday afternoon.

Kenny Jackett's side are now without a victory in three, while they have only picked up maximum points once in their last six outings.

However, they remain just two points adrift of the league leaders, with those around them in the table also dropping points with similar regularity.

Things are very tight at the top of the Championship table, so much so that Wolves could end the weekend at the summit should a number of other results go their way.

To stand any chance of doing that, though, they would need a victory, and that is something that they have managed just once away from home so far this season.

However, Jackett has made his side tough to beat on their travels, with only Rotherham United emerging victorious against a travelling Wolves.

This weekend's match will be a particularly special one for Jackett, who returns to The Den against his former club, where he spent six years between 2007 and 2013.

Yannick Sagbo is in line for a start for the visitors, and his likely central role could see Bakary Sako pushed out wide.

Millwall, meanwhile, are quickly slipping down the table as their strong start to the season becomes a memory more distant with each passing week.

They are without a win since August, a spell of six matches that includes four defeats and just four goals scored.

As a result, they find themselves down in 16th place, although Ian Holloway will have been happy with coming away from the iPro Stadium with a point against Derby County last time out.

Consistency at home has been a slight issue this season, with two wins, two defeats and a draw at The Den so far, including a disappointing 3-1 loss at the hands of Birmingham City in their last outing in front of their own fans.

Holloway will still be without Carlos Edwards and Lee Martin for this weekend's match, although Scott Malone is pushing for a place in the starting XI.
