Dean Bowditch agrees new MK Dons deal

MK Dons striker Dean Bowditch extends his contract with the League One club until the summer of 2015.

Dean Bowditch has extended his contract with the MK Dons.

The 27-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of the campaign, but he has now committed his future to the League One club until the summer of 2015.

"I'm ecstatic that we've been able to keep hold of Dean for another year. He's an integral part of the group so to make sure he'll be here next season is big business for us," manager Karl Robinson told the club's official website.

"He's had an unpredictable year but for us to acquire his services for a fourth season is important, as you've seen in the games since he's been back. He bolsters the ambition of the club and he fits perfectly into the mold of player I want at this football club."

Meanwhile, the striker added: "I'm absolutely delighted. After the season I've had, it has been difficult for both myself and the staff so I thank them so much for putting that trust in me and giving me another year's deal. I would never go anywhere. I feel I've got a point to prove both next season and in the remainder of this season. I want to get out there and show what I can do because I've missed a lot of this year and people want to see me out there."

Bowditch, who is a former England youth international, joined the Dons from Yeovil Town back in 2011.
