Morecambe boss Jim Bentley wins Manager of the Month for August in League Two

Jim Bentley is crowned August's League Two Manager of the Month after the Shrimps' four wins out of five to start the season.

Jim Bentley has been named the League Two Manager of the Month for August after the Shrimps' hot start to 2014-15.

The 38-year-old's side were the only team in the Football League to win their first four matches, setting the early pace in the fourth tier.

They ended August with a first defeat, at Tranmere Rovers, but still lie in the top three.

The other nominees for the award were Shrewsbury Town's Micky Mellon, Gary Rowett of Burton Albion and Cheltenham Town's Mark Yates.
