Team News: Tranmere Rovers without injured Jason Koumas

Tranmere Rovers are without veteran midfielder Jason Koumas for the visit of unbeaten League Two leaders Morecambe.

Jason Koumas will miss Tranmere Rovers' clash with table-topping Morecambe after picking up a knee injury.

Player-coach Matt Gill is named on the bench after recovering from an illness that kept him out of training during the week.

Manager Rob Edwards continues with 20-year-old Cole Stockton, who signed a new three-year contract earlier this week, in attack.

The Shrimpers, the only side in the Football League with a 100 per cent record, are without Laurence Wilson, who is facing a lengthy period on the sidelines with a knee ligament injury.

Joe Widdowson, a loan signing from League Two rivals Bury, takes Wilson's place in the back line for the League Two leaders.

Jim Bentley also welcomes back Andy Parrish, who only returned to training for the Lancashire club in midweek.

Tranmere Rovers: Fon Williams; Holmes, Ihiekwe, Donacien, Hill; Baggie, Power, Laird, Rowe; Richards, Stockton

Morecambe: Roche; Beeley, Devitt, Hughes, Wright; Ellison, Mullin, Goodall, Widdowson; Fleming, Parrish
