Previous winners Morocco have a strong history in the Africa Cup of Nations. Sports Mole considers their chances at this year's tournament.

Having won the tournament in 1976, Morocco have a strong history in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Eric Gerets's side lost only once during qualification as they topped their group by three points ahead of Central Africa Republic and Algeria.

They came close to winning the competition as recently as 2004, when they lost 2-1 to Tunisia in the final.

Group: C

Players to watch out for:

Adel Taarabt

The Queens Park Rangers midfielder can be one of the most frustrating players to watch in world football, but his undoubted flair and skill is sure to see him light up the tournament if given a run in the side.

Marouane Chamakh

Despite a lack of first-team action at Arsenal, Chamakh knows how to put the ball in the back of the net at international level with 17 goals to his name.

Previous best: Winners 1976

Odds to win outright: 9/1

Sports Mole says: Semi-finals
