Team News: Jak Alnwick fit for Tyne-Wear derby debut

Rookie Jak Alnwick overcomes a shoulder injury to continue in goal for Newcastle United as they face local rivals Sunderland in the Premier League.

Jak Alnwick has recovered from a shoulder injury to make his Tyne-Wear derby debut for Newcastle United in the Premier League this afternoon.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper continues between the posts, with Tim Krul and Rob Elliot sidelined, but there are four changes to the side that lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup earlier this week.

Cheick Tiote and Sammy Ameobi both come in, while Ayoze Perez continues up front and Jack Colback start against his former club.

Meanwhile, Anthony Reveillere will miss out for Sunderland after picking up an injury during the warm-up.

Gus Poyet had initially just made one change, with Jozy Altidore dropping to the bench for Steven Fletcher, but Sebastian Coates comes in following the knock to Reveillere.
