Newcastle United could be closing in on making their seventh signing of this summer's transfer window in the form of Shakhtar Donetsk striker Facundo Ferreyra.
The Magpies were optimistic of getting the striker on loan recently after he sought a move away from the club due to political unrest in Ukraine.
The proposed deal could see the striker move on a permanent move at the end of the loan for a reported £6.5m, according to Sky Sports News.
The 23-year-old scored six goals in just eight appearances for Shakhtar last season.
