Italian giants AC Milan and Inter Milan are said to be circling Newcastle United teenager Matty Longstaff.

Both Milan sides are thought to have expressed interest in signing Newcastle United midfielder Matty Longstaff following his breakout season for the Magpies.

The 19-year-old made a dream debut for Steve Bruce's side in October, scoring the only goal of the game as Newcastle claimed the scalp of Manchester United at St James' Park.

Longstaff has gone on to contribute two more goals to become the side's third top scorer in all competitions, but his existing deal expires on June 30.

Talks over a new contract, which would improve his current wages of less than £1,000 a week, have so far proved fruitless and as it stands Longstaff will be free to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club from tomorrow.

According to The Times, both AC Milan and Inter Milan have been following his development and are prepared to offer him a five-year deal starting in the summer.

Longstaff would be available for a compensation fee of just £400,000.
