Newcastle United have reportedly moved a step closer to securing the services of Bordeaux winger Henri Saivet.
It was recently suggested that the 25-year-old had stalled on a move to St James' Park, with Southampton said to be monitoring the situation closely.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Saivet arrived on Tyneside this afternoon for contract discussions and a medical.
The report adds that the Senegal international will cost the Magpies around £4m.
