Striker Scott Boden has admitted that he is relieved to finally complete his move to Newport County.
Earlier this summer, Boden was released by National League side Halifax Town after scoring 10 times in 31 games, but the forward has now penned a deal with League Two outfit Newport.
The 25-year-old told the club's official website: "It has been ongoing for what seems an eternity. I'm just glad that it's all announced and finalised now.
"The last two weeks have been a bit of a slug for me but the management knows that, so obviously a lot of hard work this week and we can move on from there.
"I knew a couple of lads here last season and I spoke to Rhys Taylor and Scott Barrow about the club. It really was an easy decision to join. There was never any doubt in my mind."
Boden has previously played in the Football League with Chesterfield, where he made 104 league appearances between 2008 and 2013.
