FIFA vice president and Argentina's Football Association president Julio Grondona has died at the age of 82.
The South American football confederation CONMEBOL announced the news on Wednesday after the Argentine's condition deteriorated rapidly.
The 82-year-old suffered from a heart problem and was admitted to hospital early on Wednesday morning.
Grondona has been the AFA's president since 1979 as well as taking up roles as FIFA's senior vice president and head of the body's finance committee.
