Chris Wilder hails Northampton Town win

Northampton Town boss Chris Wilder says that he is "proud" of his team's 2-1 win at Torquay United on Tuesday evening.

Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder has said that he was "proud" of his team's performance as they beat relegation rivals Torquay United 2-1 on Tuesday evening.

Two goals from striker Emile Sinclair at Plainmoor gave the Cobblers the win that moves them to within five points of safety in League Two.

"We have got threats at the top of the pitch now, we looked a threat all night especially in the first half," Wilder told Sporting Life.

"I am proud of the performance. They all put their bodies on the line and you get your rewards and we did that in the form of three big points.

"We played smart football in the second half. We turned them around and squeezed them in. And in the end I thought we were pretty comfortable and got a deserved three points."

Northampton travel to Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
