Northampton Town end duo's loans

The loans of Matty Blair and Sean McGinty are ended early by Northampton Town.

Northampton Town today confirmed that the loan spells of both Matty Blair and Sean McGinty have been ended early.

Their stints at Sixfields were due to expire following Saturday's League Two match against Plymouth Argyle.

Winger Blair returns to Fleetwood Town while defender McGinty heads back to League One side Sheffield United.

"I would like to thank both players for their efforts," Northampton manager Chris Wilder said.

"Matty has a minor ankle injury which would have kept him out for this weekend anyway, and with the players coming in the opportunities for both players here would have been limited moving forwards."

Northampton are bottom of the Football League, six points adrift of safety in League Two.
