Alex Neil hails 'biggest win of career''

Alex Neil praises the determination of his players after he watches Norwich City record a famous victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Norwich City manager Alex Neil had lauded the determination of his players after he secured the "biggest win" of his career with a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford today.

Goals from Cameron Jerome and Alexander Tettey handed the Canaries all three points to see them move out of the Premier League relegation zone and pile more pressure on Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

The victory was Norwich's first at Old Trafford in over 26 years and Neil, who at 34 is the league's youngest manager, was quick to salute his squad for the achievement.

"I'm just really pleased for the players, mainly because a lot of questions have been posed of myself and them," he told Norwich City TV afterwards. "The best way to answer that is to go and win games. It's not been easy and I've not been used to not winning games, so I'm really pleased for everyone involved to get a victory at a really difficult place.

"We are up for the fight. We want to be competitive. This will give the players confidence, I'm really pleased for them."

He added: "Arguably it is biggest win of my career. Looking at the gulf between the two clubs and the resources that Manchester United have, you could say that."

Next up for Neil's men is another tough test as they visit Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day.
