Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies says that his team can upset the odds when they travel to Cardiff City on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies believes that his side can upset the odds when they face Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.

Cardiff, who sit top of the Championship, require seven points from their last five games to secure promotion to the Premier League.

Forest are unbeaten in 10 games since Davies returned to the club, a run which has moved them into the playoff places. Ahead of facing Malky Mackay's side, Davies has claimed that the Reds have the quality to secure victory in the Cardiff City Stadium.

"We probably need two more wins and a draw to get into the playoffs - maybe three wins," he told the club's official website.

"The Championship is a tight affair. It's another very difficult away game for us - Cardiff have done very well this year and have a lot of good players. But we know if we go there and be positive then we can cause them a lot of problems. We have the players to win the match.

"It should be an exciting game of football."

Forest go into the match in fifth place in the Championship.
