Nottingham Forest 1-2 Doncaster Rovers

Goals from Frederic Piquionne and Kyle Bennett give Doncaster their third away win of the season and edge Forest ever closer to the Championship's drop zone.

Doncaster Rovers picked up just their third away win of the season at fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest this evening.

The goals for the visitors came a minute either side of the break with Frederic Piquionne and Kyle Bennett on target while Dexter Blackstock's effort for the home side turned out to merely be consolation.

Rovers controlled the game early on but it was Forest who created the first real chances with Robbie Findley and Gareth McCleary going close.

The visitors took the lead just before the break through Frederic Piquionne. The Frenchman received the ball 30 yards out and lashed an unstoppable shot past Lee Camp.

Donny were soon two ahead as El-Hadji Diouf broke away down the right and crossed to Bennett who volleyed into the roof of the net.

Forest did pull a goal back through Blackstock in the 63rd minute when the forward collected Chris Gunter's centre before lifting over Carl Ikeme.

The win sees Donny rise off the bottom to 23rd while Forest edge ever nearer to the drop zone.
