Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson will not become the new boss of Nottingham Forest, his chairman Darragh MacAnthony has confirmed.
The Posh chairman was speaking after Ferguson was linked with the post vacated by Steve McClaren on Sunday evening.
"It's a compliment to our gaffer and what he has done since leaving Preston. No approach so all cool," MacAnthony wrote on his Twitter account.
"Emailed gaffer and he phoned me to say 'put your replacement list away'."
Ferguson, son of Manchester United boss Sir Alex, is currently in his second spell as Peterborough chief.
