Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Rennes vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Rennes vs. Paris Saint-Germain.

St Etienne vs. Marseille (Sunday, 12.00pm)

Marseille will endeavour to keep their European dreams alive when they travel to Saint-Etienne for Sunday lunchtime's Ligue 1 battle.

The hosts enjoyed a 2-1 triumph at Montpellier HSC last time out, whereas Marseille could not get the better of Strasbourg in a 1-1 stalemate.

We say: Saint-Etienne 1-2 Marseille

Unless Lens can defy the odds and sink the league leaders, the door is open for Marseille to break back into the European places, and Sampaoli will not allow his side to rest on their laurels.

Saint-Etienne deserve plenty of respect for the way that they have picked themselves up in the second half of the season, but we still expect Les Olympiens to come up trumps here.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Nice vs. Brest (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two sides with virtually nothing to play for as the Ligue 1 season draws to a close lock horns at the Allianz Riviera on Saturday as Nice play host to Brest.

Les Aiglons fell to a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Lille last time out, while Brest were thumped 4-1 by relegation candidates Nantes.

We say: Nice 2-0 Brest

Brest's leaky defence has hampered their aspirations of a top-half finish all season long, and they could be in for another rough ride against a fit-again Gouiri.

Nice are only playing for pride as well, but Ursea will not want them to take their foot of the gas at this late stage, so we can envisage a routine win for Les Aiglons this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Angers vs. Dijon (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Angers can guarantee they remain in Ligue 1 beyond this season with a victory against Dijon at Stade Raymond Kopa on Sunday.

Despite going winless in their last seven league games, Les Noirs et Blancs remain in a good position, currently 13th in the table, while Dijon are already guaranteed to move into Ligue 2 next season.

We say: Angers 3-0 Dijon

Angers have won 75% of their Ligue 1 games against Dijon, which is the best such ratio against a top-flight team.

They may be lucky to be in the position they are, but beating Les Hiboux should not be a difficult task given the last-place side have lost their last eight away games in the league by a combined score of 23-7.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Strasbourg vs. Montpellier (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Yet to be assured of Ligue 1 survival, Strasbourg welcome Montpellier HSC to the Stade de la Meinau for Sunday's top-flight fixture.

The hosts managed to take a point off of European-chasing Marseille in a 1-1 draw last time out, while Montpellier lost for the second game in a row against Saint-Etienne.

We say: Strasbourg 1-1 Montpellier HSC

The Montpellier faithful must be sick of the sight of draws if the past few weeks are anything to go by, but another stalemate could certainly be on the cards this weekend.

Two of Strasbourg's most important midfielders should make their returns to the starting lineup on Sunday, and their dire need for points should help Laurey's side claim a share of the spoils against a Paillade team struggling to perform on the road.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Metz vs. Nimes (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Metz host Nimes in Ligue 1 on Sunday with the visitors in desperate need of a win to avoid relegation.

Nimes are currently six points off safety in 19th with just three games to play, while the home team are set for a mid-table finish sitting in ninth position.

We say: Metz 2-2 Nimes

There have been over 2.5 goals in 10 of Nimes' last 12 away games and this is likely to be another high scoring affair with both teams wanting to win for different reasons.

Despite knowing they need a win for survival, Nimes have a dismal record away to Metz and are unlikely to end that this weekend on current form.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Reims vs. Monaco (Sunday, 4.05pm)

With a title charge now seemingly out of the question, Monaco will endeavour to return to winning ways when they travel to resolute Reims for Sunday's Ligue 1 battle.

The hosts played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Nimes last time out, while Monaco's equally pulsating encounter with Lyon ended in a 3-2 win for Les Gones.

We say: Reims 0-2 Monaco

After the heartbreak of seeing their title aspirations dashed against Lyon, Monaco will have a point to prove when they step out onto the Stade Auguste-Delaune turf this weekend.

Reims are destined to finish in mid-table obscurity and that may be evidenced by their performance in this game, as we expect Kovac's side to strengthen their grip on third spot with a comfortable win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Rennes vs. PSG (Sunday, 8.00pm)

With their dreams of Champions League glory extinguished, Paris Saint-Germain will aim to keep pushing for the Ligue 1 title when they travel to Rennes for gameweek 36 this Sunday.

While the visitors are still vying for the crown, Rennes' resurgence under Bruno Genesio has them firmly in contention for a European spot.

We say: Rennes 1-3 Paris Saint-Germain

PSG must surely be licking their lips at the prospect of facing a Rennes side without Nzonzi and Camavinga manning the engine room, and the hosts are sure to struggle without that defensive resilience in the middle of the park.

Any more slip-ups from Pochettino's side would give Lille a clear run towards the Ligue 1 crown, but given their prowess on the road, we expect PSG to return to winning ways in emphatic fashion this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
