Preview: Lille vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole takes a closer look at the form of Lille and Paris Saint-Germain ahead of their clash on Wednesday evening.

Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain head into the meeting with Lille on Wednesday as the in-form side in Ligue 1.

Laurent Blanc's side have won six in a row in the league, and continued their impressive run by beating Nice 1-0 on Saturday thanks to an early penalty from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Despite hitting their stride and welcoming Ibrahimovic back from injury in recent weeks, PSG remain a point behind leaders Marseille, who can extend their advantage against Lorient on Tuesday.

Blanc is likely to name an unchanged side for the clash with Lille, which means the frustrated Ezequiel Lavezzi will once again be forced to settle for a spot on the bench.

At the opposite end of the form table, Lille hit a new low when a 1-0 loss to Bordeaux on the weekend ensured that it was just one point from the last six Ligue 1 games for Rene Girard's men.

After starting the new season fully expecting to challenge for a spot in Europe again, Lille now find themselves in 14th place, just four points off the bottom of the table.

Girard could be set to make changes once again, with Florent Balmont and David Rozehnal expected to come into the side for Marvin Martin and Marko Basa.
