Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton believes that there is "no point" in the West London team letting their recent run of poor form get them down.
QPR are in danger of falling into the Championship after just one season in the top flight, but the former Newcastle United midfielder is adamant that the club must focus on the games ahead.
"It's important you don't dwell too much on these things as it can have a negative impact," Barton told the club's official website. "We haven't really spoken in any great length about it.
"These results are hurting everyone in our dressing room without a shadow of a doubt but there is no point feeling sorry for ourselves. That is not going to help our situation.
"We have made concerted efforts to focus on the next challenge, and that challenge is against Liverpool on Wednesday night."
Mark Hughes's side have taken just one win from their last ten fixtures.
