QPR's match winner Djibril Cisse thinks the club can still avoid relegation, despite a final-day trip to would-be champions Manchester City.

Queens Park Rangers forward Djibril Cisse has said the club can escape from the clutches of relegation on the Premier League's final day.

The Frechman scored a late winner against Stoke to keep alive the West London club's chance of staying in England's top division.

Speaking afterwards, the 30-year-old said: "I'm really happy that we managed to take the three points. The way we played, we believe that we are going to make it so I was confident.

"To be honest I've had a really strange five months with ups and downs and the job is not done, but I hope that it will end well and for now we're celebrating but we have another game. City away will be very difficult and very important but I'm happy with what I've achieved.

"I always said that we're going to stay up and even more today, I believe in the club and the players. We have a great manager and we're trying to build something really strong around the club."

Three points for Mark Hughes's men mean they have climbed out of the bottom three for the time being.
