Queens Park Rangers held at home by Blackpool

Queens Park Rangers are held to a 1-1 draw by Blackpool in the Championship despite a rousing second-half fightback.

Queens Park Rangers have been held to a 1-1 draw at home to Blackpool in the Championship this afternoon.

The visitors played well on the counter attack-after an early goal, but were pushed back by Harry Redknapp's men in the second half and were fortunate to get anything from the game.

After an even start Blackpool took the lead through David Goodwillie, who headed home at the back post after finding space from a corner.

The hosts improved somewhat after that with Ravel Morrison getting on the ball more and more, but they failed to really test the Blackpool defence.

Junior Hoilett was introduced for QPR at the break and instantly made the home side more threatening.

The substitute fired wide with a couple of early efforts before setting up Morrison, who saw his powerful effort tipped wide midway through the second half.

Morrison then set up Tom Carroll and Modibo Maiga, who both fired wide, before Hoilett drew his side level.

He collected a pass from Morrison and fired the ball into the bottom corner from just outside the box.

On-loan star Morrison had another couple of attempts in the final stages, but despite his and Hoilett's best efforts, QPR could only manage a point.
