Kevin Bond: 'Joey Barton exit is possible'

Queens Park Rangers assistant coach Kevin Bond admits that Joey Barton could yet leave the club before transfer deadline day.

Queens Park Rangers assistant coach Kevin Bond has admitted that he would not be surprised if Joey Barton left the club before transfer deadline day.

The 30-year-old midfielder has expressed his desire to return to France following a loan spell with Marseille last season, while Everton are also reported to be interested in a move.

When asked if Barton could leave Loftus Road, Bond told reporters: "I really don't know. Nothing would surprise me."

Barton joined QPR from Newcastle United in the summer of 2011 on a free transfer.
