Jermaine Jenas keen on Queens Park Rangers stay

Jermaine Jenas reveals that he is eager to sign a new contract to extend his stint with Queens Park Rangers.

Jermaine Jenas has admitted that he would like to remain with Queens Park Rangers beyond the conclusion of his current contract.

The former England international will become a free agent during the summer, having signed an 18-month deal with the R's last January.

However, the 31-year-old has insisted that he would be happy to continue his career at Loftus Road.

"Would I like to stay? Definitely. QPR took a chance on me when I ruptured my Achilles and we'll hopefully talk at the end of the season about a new contract. There are a few of us in the same situation and we're fighting tooth and nail to get the club back in the Premier League," the London Evening Standard quotes Jenas as saying.

Jenas has made 23 appearances this season, scoring two goals in the process.
