Shaun Wright-Phillips: 'Fresh start under Chris Ramsey'

Shaun Wright-Phillips says that his career at Queens Park Rangers has been revitalised by new manager Chris Ramsey.

Queens Park Rangers winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has revealed that he has been given a "clean slate" by new manager Chris Ramsey.

The 33-year-old rarely featured under previous boss Harry Redknapp, resulting in reports that he could leave the club during the recent January transfer window.

However, Ramsey recently handed the former England international his first Premier League appearance in almost two years and Wright-Phillips has insisted that things are now "going well" for him at Loftus Road.

"It's all going well now. It's all a clean slate. The manager is in charge now and I'm just continuing to work hard, like I have done for the last year," he told Sky Sports News.

"There was stuff flying around and offers and opportunities [in January], but I believe in my ability and I know what I'm capable of and I just needed a chance. The person that's taken over has given me that chance."

Wright-Phillips joined the Hoops from Manchester City in 2011.
