Preview: Reading vs. Barnsley

Sports Mole previews Tuesday night's Championship clash pitting Reading against Barnsley.

Struggling Barnsley travel to Reading in the Championship on Tuesday looking to end a run of three straight defeats.

The Tykes are bottom of the division, but can move level on points with Millwall with a win at the Madejski Stadium.

Peter Ramage underwent a scan on Monday, and it is unsure if the 30-year-old will be fit in time for the trip, while manager Danny Wilson revealed before the game that he is looking to bolster his squad through the loan market.

"We are looking (in the loan market). I wouldn't say it's desperate but it's very difficult to get the players in I think would help us," he told reporters.

"With what's available at the moment, there's a lot of young kids. You just don't know what you're getting. And then the experienced ones are being held on to."

Danny Guthrie will be absent for the Royals as he begins a two-match suspension, while Mikele Leigertwood and Jem Karacan will also miss out through injury.

Nigel Adkins's side are unbeaten in their last five games.
