Florentino Perez calls for unity at Real Madrid

Florentino Perez urges everyone at Real Madrid to stay calm and "united" to fulfil their objectives this season.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has asked for everyone at the club to remain united and do the best they can.

Jose Mourinho's side have fallen 11 points behind leaders Barcelona in La Liga and failed to progress beyond the semi-finals of the Champions League for the third successive season.

"We have two new and big challenges in front of us, the basketball Final Four in London and the Copa del Rey final," ESPN quotes him as saying.

"Now we must be united, for our people and our supporters - to give everything and deliver the best we can. Our players will do that."

Madrid will take on city rivals Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final at the Santiago Bernabeu on May 17.
