Six Paris Saint-Germain players are reportedly unhappy about Kylian Mbappe's recent comments and have formally complained to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

Six Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly complained to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi about Kylian Mbappe's comments this week.

Mbappe's recent interviews have cast major doubt over his future with the club, claiming he has hit a 'glass ceiling' with the French champions.

After claiming a fifth-straight Ligue 1 golden boot, Mbappe seemed to discard himself as one of the reasons why the club has not been successful in Europe, before saying that playing for PSG "does not help" in his ambitions to win the Ballon d'Or.

Kaveh Solhekol claims that six PSG players have raised their concerns to the president, with two of them being new signings at the club.

Mbappe is unwilling to sign a new contract and that has led Al-Khelaifi to give the striker an ultimatum which states he must leave this summer if he will not commit his future to the club.

The 24-year-old has recently said that he would like to stay in Paris for the final year of his contract, but Al-Khelaifi has responded by saying that will not be allowed to happen.

The PSG president replied by saying: "Kylian must decide in a week or two at the most. If he doesn't sign a new contract, we will sell him. It's not negotiable."

With just 12 months left on his contract, PSG are reluctant to let Mbappe leave on a free, so want to cash in on the French World Cup winner while they can still receive a fee.

However, ESPN claims that Mbappe is relaxed about the situation, and is unfazed by the club president's recent threat.

The report states that Real Madrid is the only option for Mbappe this summer now that he is refusing to sign a new deal.

Los Blancos are said to want to strike a deal, but are waiting for either Mbappe or PSG to make the first move.

Real are the only club who can afford Mbappe, and that is the French forward's preferred destination, but the club are seemingly preferring to keep a low profile for the time being before committing to a bid.

Any sort of deal is expected to cost in excess of €200m (£170m), with a fee, add-ons and commission all said to be a part of it.

PSG will need to pay Mbappe a €70m (£60m) loyalty bonus if he sees out his current deal, regardless if he stays or leaves after honouring his contract.

However, the report from ESPN also states that even though Mbappe has never promised he would not leave as a free agent, he would prefer the club to receive a fee so it can be invested on a replacement.
