Damien Duff feels "proud" to receive his 100th cap for the Republic of Ireland but remains focused on clinching three points in the Irish side's final Euro 2012 game.

Republic of Ireland winger Damien Duff has admitted that he will feel "proud" to reach his 100th cap for the national side this evening but has claimed that he would swap the moment for a victory.

The Fulham player, who will captain the side to mark the milestone, is eager to grab three points for the Irish side against Italy tonight following a dismal campaign at Euro 2012.

"It's obviously an awfully proud moment, but I would take three points tomorrow ahead of 100 caps, at the minute," said Duff.

"I know how much it means to myself and my family and what have you, but I am not trying to make a big deal out of it. I just want to get on with the game and hopefully do the business."

Giovanni Trapattoni's side were eliminated from the tournament following a 4-0 defeat to Spain last week.
