Stephen Kelly reportedly refused to board a plane that was taking his Republic of Ireland teammates to the Faroe Islands this morning.
The Fulham defender is believed to have clashed with Ireland assistant manager Marco Tardelli during a training session prior to the squad's journey to Dublin airport.
That led to Kelly insisting that he would not be travelling with his teammates for tomorrow's World Cup qualifier against the Faroes, according to a number of reports.
However, coach Giovanni Trapattoni is said to have intervened and persuaded Kelly to take his seat on the plane.
It is not known whether Kelly will be included in the playing squad for the encounter against the Faroes.
