Scott Loach has returned to Rotherham United following an unsuccessful loan spell with Bury.
The goalkeeper joined the Shakers on a temporary deal last month before making just three appearances for the side.
After suffering a calf injury, the League Two club has decided to part company with the 26-year-old.
"Scott has gone back for good. It has not worked out, sometimes it doesn't," manager David Flitcroft is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "He had a slight niggle in his calf and we just felt it was better for all three parties, who agreed it was better for Scott to go on and get on with his career at Rotherham."
Rotherham continue their Championship campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to Cardiff City.
