Torino have won their fifth game in seven league outings by beating Sassuolo 2-0 in their Serie A match at the Stadio Alberto Braglia.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half when Ciro Immobile stole the ball in midfield and burst through on goal, before chipping an effort past the keeper.

Four minutes after the break they scored their second. Alessio Cerci saw his curling effort saved by the keeper, but Matteo Brighi was on hand to slot in the rebound at the back post.

Immobile came close to scoring a third goal for Torino late on, but he placed his effort wide of the post.

Torino's win keeps them seventh in the table, while Sassuolo remain in the relegation zone.
