Dennis Aogo out for the season

Schalke 04 confirm that Dennis Aogo will be out for the rest of the season after tearing knee ligaments during training on Friday.

Schalke 04 defender Dennis Aogo has been ruled out for the rest of the season after tearing ligaments in his right knee.

The 26-year-old, who has recently been linked with Roma and Liverpool, sustained the injury during training on Friday.

"A medical examination this evening showed a cruciate and interior ligament tear in the right knee," read a statement from the Bundesliga club.

"The left-footer is expected to miss the rest of the season."

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Jefferson Farfan and Kevin-Prince Boateng are also on the treatment table at the Veltins-Arena.
