Kekuta Manneh hat-trick vanquishes Seattle Sounders

A hat-trick from 18-year-old Gambian striker Kekuta Manneh inspires Vancouver Whitecaps to a 4-1 victory over Seattle Sounders in the MLS.

Vancouver Whitecaps have move to within three points of a spot in the MLS Western Conference playoffs with a 4-1 demolition of Seattle Sounders.

Kekuta Manneh bagged a hat-trick for the Canadian outfit, who ran riot at Centurylink Field to heap more misery on the Rave Green following their 5-1 defeat to the Colorado Rapids.

The 18-year-old Gambian striker scored his first goal of the evening after being sent clear by Daigo Kobayashi in the 12th minute, and doubled his tally with a finish of equal composure in the 41st minute.

It was a lovely inside pass from Camilo Savezzo that set him up for his second, while Kobayashi was once again the creator for his third goal - this time Manneh finished with the outside of his right boot.

Mauro Rosales got the home side on the scoresheet in the 69th minute, but Nigel Reo-Coker wrapped up the scoring with his first goal for the visitors with eight minutes remaining.
