Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo has extended his contract with the club until 2016.
The 26-year-old's previous deal was due to expire in 2014 and the Spanish club has moved to ward off any interested clubs by prolonging his stay at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan by a further two years.
"Alvaro is a very important player for us and a big part of the future for this," president Jose Maria del Nido told the club's official website.
"By this move we have discarded his sale."
The Spanish international joined Sevilla in 2009 from Real Madrid.
