However, according to Sky Sports News, Celtic are in discussions with Sevilla over a deal for the forward, with the Scottish giants believed to be keen to sign him on loan with an option to buy at the end of the campaign.
Iheanacho scored 61 times and registered 34 assists in 232 appearances for Leicester during his time at the King Power Stadium, while he managed 21 goals and seven assists in 64 matches for Manchester City in the early stages of his career.

Burnley 'in talks over loan deal for Edwards'
Elsewhere, Burnley are reportedly in talks with Sporting Lisbon over a loan deal for Marcus Edwards.
The 26-year-old has managed three goals in 10 appearances for his Lisbon club during the 2024-25 campaign, but he is being tipped to leave before the January transfer window closes for business.
According to Sky Sports News, Burnley are in discussions with Sporting over a loan deal, which could include an option to make the switch permanent during this summer's transfer window for £8m.
Burnley head coach Scott Parker is said to be driving the interest, as he is familiar with Edwards following their time together at Tottenham Hotspur.
