Luc Castaignos struck in the last minute to hand Inter Milan all three points against Siena this afternoon.
Claudio Ranieri's Inter had struggled to create any goalscoring chances at the Stadio Artemio Franchio prior to the late intervention from Castaignos.
Siena, who started the match in 12th position, also found opportunities hard to come by, with winger Franco Brienza spurning their best chance after the break.
The winning goal was assisted by Thiago Motta, who released substitute Castaignos to shoot low past Zeljko Brkic in goal.
The three points have moved Inter up to 15th in the Serie A table.
