Ralph Krueger: 'Southampton don't need to sell'

Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger says that the club will not be forced to sell their best players.

Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger has said that the club will not be forced to sell their best players.

The Saints owe £27m in outstanding transfer fees in addition to £30m for their new training ground.

Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana are two of the players to have been linked with a move away from the club this summer, but Krueger is adamant that they can keep hold of them.

"We are definitely not factoring in a big player sale," he told The Guardian.

"What we have here is very good and we are doing everything in our power to keep this group together."

Southampton are currently eighth in the Premier League table.
