Spain assistant manager Toni Grande has claimed that "a striker or two" will "logically" be left out of La Roja's final 23-man squad for the World Cup this summer.
Vicente del Bosque named his initial 30-man squad earlier today, but the final list will be cut down by seven at the end of the month.
"There are seven players extra and logically, maybe a striker or two will end up out of the final list," he told reporters at a book launch in Madrid.
"We have 15 days, more or less, to decide which of the seven players won't be going with us. We have very important games to play and as such, the list could change. Also, any injuries will be an important factor, as we no longer have time left for any recovery."
Spain will enter the tournament in Brazil as the defending champions.
